Training & Classes
Training classes for obedience for dogs of all ages from puppy to novice, through to intermediate onto advanced level.
Some specialist courses throughout the year such as Grumpy Growlers for dogs that need more social skills, scent work, tracking, first aid for dogs and dog law to name but a few. All specialist course information can be found on the news page or on our Facebook page.
Classes are kept to a maximum of 6 dogs
so that the trainer can give all clients time and focus.
All dogs start in the novice class and progress at their own pace as they learn.
Classes must be booked and paid for in advance.
Costs:
1 to 1 training sessions at the centre - £45.00 for 1 hour
1 to 1 training at clients own home - £45.00 per hour plus travel fee (individually calculated).
Classes
Week day at the training centre in Stour Row - £12.00 per 1hr class, places are booked in advance
Evening classes at Motcombe Village Hall - £15.00 per 1hr class, places are booked in advance (re-starting May 18th 2021)
Saturday Classes - £15.00 per 1hr class, places are booked in advance
Courses - priced separately.
Class attendance
All dogs must be up to date with vaccinations, have a collar which fits correctly with a legally compliant dog tag attached and a flat lead (no flexi leads allowed).
Clients must wear suitable clothing, e.g. trousers, flat footwear (boots, trainers etc.) out door clothing. Training is conducted in either a grass field or the all weather sand & tyre chipping arena or the purpose built polytunnel which has artifical grass for when it is raining.
What to bring with you:
- Your dog with collar & tag plus lead
- Poo bags
- Food treats
- Your dogs vaccination certificate which will be inspected by the trainer before the start of the class.
- Your dogs microchip number (we will scan your dog to check this for you)
- Motivational toy (such as a ball on a rope)
