 Dog Training

About Us

Maura Kiely is a Master Dog trainer and a member of The Guild of Dog Trainers. Maura has relocated to Dorset from the heart of the Cheshire countryside.

Maura has also been a member of one of the country's top dog display teams since 1999. The display team attended many shows and put demonstrations on for the public in the main arena's to demonstrate their canine skills.

Maura has trained a wide variety of pet dogs fron tiny Chihuahua's up Irish Wolfhoundds, for over 30 years and knows the joy a pet dog can bring and understands the trials and tribulations of owning and training a pet whilst bringing up a family.
The dog training school is situated between Shaftesbury & Gillingham and offers a secure place in which to train your dog in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Providing advice to the general public on training for a socially acceptable dog, general dog training problems and their needs to ensure pet dogs are happy, healthy and a pleasure to own whilst promoting the use of reward based training. Being able to take her dog training to the next level made her more interested to learn new skills and gain a wider understanding of different breeds, their own characteristics and natural talents and that is the excuse she uses when she brings home another little bundle to add to the pack.

Maura knows each dog is different, even within a breed, and this means you really need to understand a wide variety of training techniques to bring out the best in each dog. As always this comes with patience using positive reward training, time, consistency and above all commitment from owner and handler.
